3 Reasons Why Mahindra Tractors Are a Great Buy

There are several reasons why Mahindra is the #1 best selling tractor in the world. We asked our tractor salesmen, Don Wise, what stands out to him with the Mahindra tractor. With his extensive experience with tractors, Don has a strong knowledge on what makes one tractor better than another. He knows it depends on a lot of different things for different people, and he's a great resource to talk to about your next tractor purchase.

Don has been in the farm equipment industry since 1970, when he started at Fairfield Tractor Company while going to UofSC. In 2004, Don went to work with Blanchard Machinery Company as an outside and inside sales rep for Caterpillar compact equipment & New Holland Tractors.

When you're ready to shop Mahindra tractors, implements and parts, Don Wise is the man you'll be talking to. Don knows everything you need to know about Mahindra and can help answer all of your questions.

3 Things That Make Mahindra Tractors A Great Buy

  1. Rugged & Tough - The tractors are built very rugged. They use cast-iron rear-ends, most tractors have moved to aluminum rear-ends that don't last as long. A lot of tractors today have plastic hoods & fenders, while Mahindra still holds to the old-school thought of having metal fenders and hoods.
  2. No DPF & No Regeneration - Some small farm tractors require a diesel particulate filter (DPF) to deliver cleaner emissions and filter the exhaust. They require a regeneration process to burn the soot accumulation inside the DPF in order to clean it, this can take 20 minutes and you can't turn the tractor off. This can be an inconvenience at times. Mahindra's mCRD Engine eliminates the need for Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and never requires high-temperature burnoffs. Instead, the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst treats the exhaust as it is coming out.
  3. Great Warranty - the standard warranty on almost all Mahindra tractors is pretty much 2 years or 2,000 hours, whichever comes first. On the smaller tractors they have a 7 year, 3,000 hour power-train warranty (engine, transmission & rear-end). The bigger tractors have 5 year or 3,000 hour power-train warranty.

Don grew up on a small farm with cattle, hogs & chickens. He planted corn, oats and cut hay. He's worked with a lot of tractors over the years and will be happy to discuss with you the benefits that make Mahindra the #1 selling tractor in the world.
